Questions
Can I
split my meals into smaller portions?
Many of our recipes allow you to split your menu item
into two, two-three serving portions. Simply put half of everything the
recipe calls for into each of two bags at the menu item station. Please
remember that cooking times may vary for the smaller portions. Recipes
that include whole roasts or chickens and our egg dishes don’t
split very well. For the recipes that don’t split well, you can
often freeze the leftovers after they have been cooked.
What if
I sign up for the 8-meal package and decide when I get to my session
that I would like to get the 12-meal package instead?
Not a problem! Please check with us first and tell us
which additional menu items you would like to make so we can be sure we
have all the ingredients you need for your additional meals. We would
love you to take home more of our tasty meals for you and your family.
When I
sign up for my session, can I choose to make more than one of a menu
item?
Yes! In fact, you can help yourself have a
stress-free dinner party by making two or three of any one of our menu
items for serving your guests!
What
should I do if I change my mind about the menu items I selected for my
session?
Just give us a call at 763-714-0028 in advance and we
will adjust your order sheet for you and be sure we have all the
ingredients you need to assemble your meals.
How many people does each menu item serve?
Each of our menu items in our regular sessions are designed to serve 4-6 normal-sized portions. Some of the menu items (such as our strata) would easily serve 8 people. The menu items in our Table for Two sessions are designed to serve 2-3 normal-sized portions. Session times vary for the Table for Two sessions (see registration page).
What is your Simply Rewards program?
Our Simply Rewards program is designed to offer our repeat customers a great reward for their loyalty. We have punch cards that can be redeemed at two levels. With the purchase of five 8-meal packages at full price, the next package is half off. Or, purchase ten 8-meal packages at full price and the next package is free. We love seeing all the friendly faces of our repeat customers and we want to show our appreciation too!
Do my meals have to be frozen when I get home from a session?
We recommend that you freeze any meals that you will not be eating in a day or two. And, we also recommend that you don't re-freeze any meals that you have defrosted. Many meat products do not respond well to thawing and refreezing and can make you sick. If you do defrost one and can't eat right away, try cooking it and freezing the cooked meal. You can do this with many of our meals without harming the quality.
Do I have to thaw my meals out before I cook them?
Most of our dishes do taste best and cook easiest if they are thawed completely before they are cooked. Since many of our meat dishes are frozen in a marinade, by thawing them you are allowing the meat to absorb the marinade to its fullest extent. Also, the cooking instructions are based on the meals being thawed prior to cooking. Some of our baked dishes do well when cooked from frozen and just need the cooking times extended to allow for the added thawing time (pizza, stratas, casseroles). In a pinch, you can speed the thawing process in the microwave - but this can some times change the final product to some extent.
Why have your prices changed?
We are dedicated to giving you the best quality food and service or the best
price. Unfortunately, our costs have increased enough over the last
year-and-a-half that we need to raise prices to offset some of these
increases. Even though our prices have gone up slightly, we still offer you
meals that range from $2.50 - $3.50 a serving - a price that can't be beat!
